Brannan Thermometers Standard Wall Thermometer 215mm, Room Thermometer, Indoor Temperature Gauge, Wall Mounted Thermometer, Analog Thermometer

Thermometers and weather stations measure temperature and weather in the home, kitchen and garden. The range includes indoor and outdoor wall thermometers, maximum and minimum thermometers, fridge and freezer thermometers, oven and dial thermometers, rain gauges, and indoor and outdoor weather stations.

Garden and greenhouse

A maximum and minimum thermometer shows the current temperature along with the maximum and minimum readings since it was last reset. That makes it useful for watching for frost in winter and for overheating in a greenhouse in summer. Many work indoors and outdoors, but some are more water resistant than others, so check before fixing one outside.

For readings that reflect the air rather than a sunny wall, keep the thermometer shaded with air moving freely around it. As a reference, the Met Office measures air temperature 1.25m above the ground inside a ventilated, louvred screen. A rain gauge measures rainfall, which you read directly from its scale.

Kitchen

Fridge dials do not always show the true temperature, so use a fridge thermometer to check. Keep the fridge between 0 and 5°C and the freezer at around minus 18°C, and check about once a week. Upright and flat versions suit different fridge and freezer layouts, while oven and dial thermometers show the actual temperature inside an oven.

Choosing

Decide where the thermometer will go, whether you need maximum and minimum readings or just the current temperature, and whether a digital display or a traditional dial or scale is easier for you to read.
