This category covers accessories for cars and vans: tailored and universal floor mats, seat covers, replacement seat belts, fuel caps, jump leads, air fresheners, dehumidifiers, phone chargers and cables, styling stripes and snow grips, along with signs and stickers for vehicles and workplaces.

Mats and seat covers

• Tailored mats: cut to the floor shape of one make and model, often listed with a pattern number and the model years they fit. Check your exact vehicle and year before choosing.
• Universal mats: general shapes and sizes that suit most cars, sometimes trimmed to fit.
• Seat covers: made for a named vehicle or as a universal fit, for single seats, front pairs or rear benches. If a seat has a built-in side airbag, check the cover is made for use with it, and never fit anything that blocks an airbag.

Seat belts, fuel caps and jump leads

A seat belt is safety equipment that is checked at the MOT: the anchorages must be secure, the webbing free of cuts and fraying, and the buckle and retractor must work. Match a replacement belt to the seat position and type, whether static lap, retracting lap or automatic lap and diagonal, and fix it only to proper anchorage points. For fuel caps, check the fit for your filler neck and whether you want a locking cap. When jump starting, follow the vehicle handbook. Batteries can give off hydrogen, so keep sparks and flames away from them.

Comfort and care

Air fresheners come as sprays, hanging cards and small diffusers. Reusable dehumidifiers take up moisture from the air inside the car. Chargers and cables must match your phone's connector, such as USB-C or an 8-pin plug.
