Leven Square Flexi Fix Toilet Seat

A toilet seat and cover fixes to the toilet pan with two hinges and can be replaced on its own when it wears or breaks. This category covers standard and soft-close seats, quick-release and top-fix designs, seats made for particular toilet pans, open-front, contract and anti-vandal seats for busy washrooms, and seats in plastic, MDF and solid wood.

Fit and fixing

Some seats are made for one toilet range and fit only that pan, while universal shapes are designed to fit most pans. Compare the shape and size of the new seat with your pan, and check where the hinge fixing holes are. Many seats have adjustable hinges with several anchor positions, which help the seat sit firmly without wobbling. Bottom-fix hinges are tightened from beneath the pan. Top-fix hinges are tightened from above and are made for back-to-wall and fully enclosed toilets, where you cannot reach underneath.

Features and materials

• Soft close: hinges lower the seat and lid slowly and quietly instead of letting them slam.
• Quick release: the seat lifts off its hinges without tools, so you can clean around the hinges and pan.
• Plastic: thermoset, thermoplastic and polypropylene seats are durable and hygienic.
• MDF and wood: painted or coated MDF, and natural wood finishes such as oak.
• Hinges: made in plastic, chrome, brass or stainless steel; match the finish to your taps and other fittings.

Commercial washrooms

Contract and anti-vandal seats are made for heavy use in workplace and public washrooms. As with any seat, check that it fits the pan model already installed.
